The tools set no cookies. Everything below is about the advertising and measurement layer around them.
What a cookie is here
A cookie is a small piece of text a site asks your browser to keep and hand back on the next visit. Related technologies — local storage, session storage, pixels — do a similar job. This page covers all of them, because what matters is the behaviour rather than the mechanism.
The tools use none
Converting, compressing, resizing, restoring or reading a file on this site requires no cookie, and none is written while you do it. There is no account, no session, no saved history of what you processed. Block every cookie in your browser and every tool still works exactly as before. That is a consequence of the architecture: the work happens on your device, so there is no session for a server to track.
A few tools remember a preference locally — a quality setting or your last output format — using your browser's own storage. That value stays on your device, is readable only by this site, and is erased when you clear site data.
Advertising cookies
QuietPix is free because it shows ads, and those are served by Google AdSense. Google may set cookies to select ads, limit how often you see the same one, and detect invalid traffic. Some of those cookies are used for personalised advertising, depending on your settings and where you are.
You can turn personalisation off atGoogle Ads Settings, and Google explains what it collects atits advertising policies. Turning personalisation off does not remove the ads; it makes them less targeted. Ads run in their own frames and never have access to the files you process.
Analytics
Aggregate analytics tell us how many people visited and which tools they used. This is counting, not profiling: we see that a page was opened, not who opened it. Crash reports are also collected automatically so failures can be fixed, and they contain technical details about the error — never file contents.
Refusing cookies
Every browser can block or delete cookies, per site or entirely: look for Privacy or Content Settings. Blocking them here costs you nothing functional, because the tools do not depend on cookies. If you are in a region that requires a consent prompt, you will see one before advertising cookies are set, and your choice is respected until you change it.
Changes
If the set of cookies changes — a different ad provider, a new measurement tool — this page changes with it. It is the single place where that is written down.
