Privacy policy
Short version: your files never leave your device. Here is the long version.
Your files
Every QuietPix tool runs inside your browser using WebAssembly. Files you select are read and processed locally on your device. They are never transmitted to, stored on, or seen by any server. We could not look at your files even if we wanted to. There is no upload endpoint in this product.
Analytics
We use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand how many people visit and which tools they use. This tells us page counts, not identities. We do not build profiles of individual visitors.
Error reporting
If a tool crashes, an automatic error report is sent so we can fix it. Reports contain technical details about the error, never the content of your files.
Advertising
QuietPix is free because it shows ads. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit here and to other sites on the internet. Third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads on this site and may use cookies of their own, which this site does not control.
You can opt out of personalised advertising atGoogle Ads Settings, opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies ataboutads.info, and read what Google collects atGoogle's advertising policies. Opting out does not remove the ads, it makes them less targeted. Ads run in their own frames and never have access to the files you process — the tools finish their work without the page making a single network request. The AI models
Several tools — background removal, photo restoration, colourisation, upscaling, text recognition — use open AI models. The model file is downloaded to your browser the first time you use that tool, then cached for next time. It runs on your device, on your processor. Your photos are never sent to an AI service, ours or anyone else's, and no prompt or result leaves the page. The only network request involved is fetching the model itself, which happens before your file is touched.
What is stored on your device
Downloaded AI models are kept in your browser's cache so you do not pay for them twice, and some tools remember a preference such as your last output format. Both live in your own browser storage and are removed when you clear site data. Nothing about them is readable by us.
Children
QuietPix is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, at any age, because the product has no account system and no upload path.
Your rights
Rules such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data a site holds about you. The honest answer here is that there is nothing to act on: we hold no files, no accounts and no profiles. The aggregate analytics count page views, not people. If you want that stated in writing for a compliance review, ask and you will get it.
Changes to this policy
If what we collect changes, this page changes with it, and meaningful changes stay visible here rather than being slipped in quietly.
