What kind of images work best?
Clear screenshots, scans and photos of printed text. Small screenshots are automatically doubled in resolution before reading. Handwriting and stylized fonts are where every OCR struggles, including this one.
Which languages are supported?
English for now. The recognition model is downloaded once (about 5 MB) and cached; more languages are on the roadmap.
Is my image uploaded to read it?
No. The OCR engine (Tesseract compiled to WebAssembly) runs in your browser. Screenshots of private conversations and documents never touch a server.
How accurate is it?
On clean printed text: very. On low-resolution photos or busy backgrounds, expect mistakes; the output appears in an editable box so fixing a word takes a second.
