How do I rotate a photo that is sideways?

What is the difference between rotating and flipping?
Rotating turns the whole image around its center: 90° or 180°. Flipping mirrors it: horizontal flip swaps left and right (like a mirror), vertical flip swaps top and bottom.
Why does my phone photo look rotated everywhere?
Phones often save the sensor image sideways plus a hidden orientation flag, and some apps ignore the flag. This tool bakes the correct orientation into the pixels first, then applies your rotation, so the result looks right everywhere.
Does rotating lose quality?
90° and 180° turns and flips move pixels without resampling, so nothing is blurred. JPG and WebP are re-encoded at high quality (92%), PNG stays lossless.
