MP4 to MP3, without the upload

Pull the audio out of any video. Free, unlimited, and the file never leaves your computer.

Drop videos here or click to browse

The converter downloads once (about 32 MB), then works offline. Your videos stay on your device.

Lectures, interviews, music: audio only

A recorded lecture you want on your phone, an interview you need to transcribe, a performance where only the sound matters. Uploading an hour of video to a converter site is slow and puts your recording on someone else's server. QuietPix runs FFmpeg in your browser instead: the MP3 is ready as fast as your machine can work, and nothing is sent anywhere. MOV, WebM and MKV files work too.

Frequently asked questions

How is this private when converters need servers?

QuietPix ships FFmpeg itself to your browser as WebAssembly. The extraction runs on your device, so the video never leaves your computer. Turn off Wi-Fi after the engine loads and it still works.

What audio quality do I get?

The original audio track is re-encoded to high-quality MP3 (VBR around 190 kbps). If the video has good sound, the MP3 will too.

Is there a file size or length limit?

No hard limit. Long videos just take longer because your own computer does the work. A 5-minute clip typically finishes in well under a minute.

What if my video has no sound?

You get a clear message instead of a silent broken file. The tool checks that an audio track exists before producing the MP3.
