Is 1080×1080 still the right size for Instagram?
For square posts, yes — Instagram serves feed images at 1080 pixels wide, and a 1080×1080 upload avoids the quality loss of letting the app rescale. Portrait posts use 1080×1350; run the crop tool with a 4:5 lock for those.
Will faces get cut off in the square crop?
